Obituary: Carolyn 'Cal' Stuart Drange

Carolyn "Cal" Stuart Drange, 84, a Carson City resident for 21 years, died July 24, 2001, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.

Born June 19, 1917, in Lyndonville, Vt., to Sumner and Alice White Stuart, she attended the Lyndon Institute and La Salle College in Massachusetts.

She enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Mrs. Drange was a registered dietitian at Franklin Hospital and a member of the Hi-Sea-Era Merchant Marines Chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

She lived in San Francisco and San Rafael before moving to Nevada.

Mrs. Drange was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Cooke; two sons, Stuart of Gardnerville and Eric of Cape Cod, Mass.; and grandchildren Eric and Tyler Ramsey, Alexis and Elliot Drange, Chad Cooke and Heather Somers.

She will be inurned in the Thompson family plot in Lyndonville, Vt., in October.

Walton's in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
