La Vern Robert Anderson, 73, a two-year resident of Carson City died Dec. 13, 2001 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.
Mr. Anderson was born Dec. 4, 1928 in Willow Lake, S.D. to Ralph and Leona Warkenthien Anderson.
He worked as a meat cutter supervisor for Safeway for more than 35 years.
Prior to living in Carson City he lived in Palm Springs, Calif.
He was a Lutheran an a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Watertown, S.D.
He was preceded in death by two sons Ricky La Vern in 1951 and Brad Lee in 1953 and a grandson, Roger Farmer, in 1998.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley, of Carson City; a son Timothy, of South Lake Tahoe; a daughter Patricia Farmer, of Parker, Ariz.; sisters Cleo Mann, of Milbank, S.D. and Betty Paulson and Carolyn Bratland, both of Minneapolis, Minn.; and Bonnie Fjeland, of Clark, S.D.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services are pending.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
