A funeral Mass for Lucille Millard, 74, a Carson City resident for the past 34 years, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Holy Spirit Catholic Mission in Washoe Valley with Father Cyril Apassa celebrant.
A Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mrs. Millard died Dec. 14, 2001, at her daughter's home in Carson City. She was born April 1, 1927, in Cane, Pa., to Frank and Angeline Asti Millard.
She spent her early years in Syracuse, N.Y., and Johnsonburg, Pa.
Mrs. Millard worked as a tailor for a leather company in her early years. After moving to Carson City, she worked as a legal administrative secretary for the Nevada State Legislature for many years before her retirement. She was an active member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Mission in Washoe Valley. She had been licensed by the FCCA for Tower Control at an airport in Puerto Rico.
She was preceded in death by her brother and two sisters.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and David Cardinal of Carson City; brothers Bob Millard of Laguna Beach, Calif., and Frank Millard of Johnsonburg, Pa.; sisters Delina Mares of Riverside, Cal., Viola Candalor of Johnsonburg, Velma Penfield of Wilcox, Pa., Dolly Hill of Levcadia, Calif., and Marianna "Chookie" Kviatkowski of Las Vegas and grandchild Carson Cardinal of Carson City.
Burial will be in Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Spirit Catholic Mission.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
