Carson Nuggeet celebrates Thanksgiving with free dinners

The Carson Nugget will celebrate 43 years of free Thanksgiving dinners offered to needy local residents this year.

On Nov. 23, a holiday dinner will be served in the Carson Nugget Coffee Shop from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Complete with all the traditional trimmings, the meal will include roast turkey or baked ham and will be available to families with small children and those that cannot afford a Thanksgiving dinner.

To accept the offer, one simply signs the check and hands it to the cashier with the comment, "I'm a guest of the Nugget today."
