Carson Valley Historical Society to hold women's history project

The Carson Valley Historical Society is holding its "Second Annual Women's History Remembering Project" to honor outstanding women in the local area.

Residents are encouraged to send names of women who have had an impact on their life who will be honored at a reception March 4, 2001, at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center, Gardnerville.

To honor a special woman, send an envelope with your name, address and telephone number to: "2001 A Woman's Odyssey," Carson Valley Historical Society, 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville, 89410.

A form will be mailed after Dec. 1 explaining what information to submit. Deadline for final submissions is Jan. 30.
