Controller's office receives award

The Nevada Controller's Office has received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.

In addition, the Government Finance Officers Association presented the state with an award for its publication of the state's 1999 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

The Government Finance Officers Association includes 14,000 governmental finance officers in the U.S. and Canada.

Controller Kathy Augustine said the awards represent significant accomplishments by the controller's office in disclosing and communicating financial information to the public.
