Crowley to be honored

Retiring University of Nevada president Joe Crowley will be honored in a celebration saluting his achievements 12:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Jot Travis Student Union Auditorium on the UNR campus. Crowley has served as university president since 1978, having the longest tenure of any president at a single institution among the nation's principal public universities. He began his affiliation with UNR in 1966 as a temporary political science instructor.
