Gay and Mormon: An oxymoron?
Over 10,000 gays and lesbians, their families and friends who were or are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have found emotional and social support for over 30 some odd years in an organization called Affirmation: Gay and Lesbian Mormons!
Affirmation is a nonprofit fellowship serving gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Latter-day Saints. Affirmation encourages spirituality and the practice of all Christ-like and charitable behavior in the recognition of members as whole and complete children of God; provides support for people experiencing difficulty reconciling their sexual orientation with traditional Mormon beliefs and provides the opportunity for social interaction, intellectual development and emotional stability to those of similar heritage and background.
Affirmation members worldwide support our position here in Nevada to protect all families and the right of all individuals to live and pursue the measure of their creation according to their own private revelation. Vote NO on Ballot Question 2.
