Letter: Carson City Redevelopment's concert series the best ever

For the past four years I have worked with Carson City Redevelopment in

organizing a six-week Sunday evening, Concert on the Capitol Series.

Starting the Sunday after the fourth of July, this year was the best ever

with crowds of over 400 almost every week. Carson City Redevelopment hosts these free concerts each summer.

With no income from the event, we were fortunate this year to have two additional sponsors, Nevada Bell and Carson-Tahoe Hospital. Thank you so much for your support. With the addition of these sponsors we enjoyed the music of Northern Nevada Blue Grass Association, Sweetwater, Erika Paul Jazz Trio, Kuech, Buckin' Band, and our final concert the Stainless Steele Jazz Band.

All the bands performed on the new amphitheater at the Legislative Mall Plaza. The crowds deserve applause as well for being so receptive, fun, and clean.

We look forward to next year and thank everyone from bands to audience to sponsors for making this free family event possible.
