Letter: Don't let Democrats fool voters again

Is it yet too early to expect the Appeal to publish another letter by our illustrious panderer Harry Reid?

As a senior citizen of 70 years, I expect, in addition to Medicare, he'll tell us senior citizens of the Republicans' plan to prevent us from prescription drugs because of the high costs caused by the rotten Republicans!

What I'd like Reid to tell us senior citizens is why he and Richard Bryan and Al Gore voted to increase taxes on Social Security benefits in 1993 from 50 percent raised to 85 percent.

Reid commended Clinton for signing the bill that lets seniors earn all you can without a penalty at 65 years of age instead of 70 years, but he never mentioned rescinding it. The IRS gets its share!

I am employed full time as are many seniors, and we want a tax cut.

The surplus is occurring only because we are overtaxed, thanks to Clinton who ran in 1992 on cutting taxes. The Clintons have been unmitigated liars throughout their lives!

Now we have Gore who is a bigger liar or is trying to be president!

To you seniors who will be voting for president, remember, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
