What a wonderful idea! I'm referring to Sue Lamon's letter regarding Winnemucca's flying flags and suggesting Carson City do the same by displaying flags attached to light poles along Highwayb 395 through town.
I have written a letter before about the lack of civic pride and patriotism in our city. On any given national holiday, there aren't more than a handful of flags flying.
We aren't just any city - we're the capital city of Nevada.
I do hope the chamber of commerce or the city council will give this some thought.
