New sounds in the city.

Once again Carson City enjoys the fabulous music of the '40s, '50s and the '60s. An excellent combination of winds and percussions and squeezes to set the house on its ear. It is good and transforms enigmatic dance people into a pulsating, throbbing, gyrating mass of rhythmic flesh.

Tangos, polkas, foxtrots, jitterbugs, reach for the wall-flowers and entice them on the floor. John Q. Smith is replaced by Gene Kelly and Fred Astair. This rhapsodic elixir casts off the trials and tribulations and replaces them with exhilaration and exuberance.

Where is this activity boiling and bubbling taking place? Terpsichorean delight, this ballroom of the masters is located at the Children's Museum on North Carson Street across from the State Museum. The date, the last Friday of the month; the hours, 8-11 p.m.

The crafters of things musical are four good men and true. Vic Centro activates the accordion, Danny Green milks dulcet tones from his sophisticated sax and Gary Allen Ross and Dane Regret make good drum sounds.

Earl Case is the genius behind this dance offering and does an exceptional piece of work.
