Lumos names Carson manager

Donald Armstrong, P.E., F.ASCE, has been named engineering manager for the Carson City branch of Lumos and Associates by Chief Operating Officer Buzz Fitzpatrick.

"We are extremely pleased to add Don, with his 30 years of experience in both civil and sanitary engineering, to our staff of professionals," said Fitzpatrick.

Armstrong comes to Lumos from the Pima County Wastewater Management Department, in Tucson Ariz., where he served as deputy director and waste water project superintendent for the past 13 years.

Lumos and Associates was established in 1978 and provides civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, planning, surveying, materials testing, construction inspection and construction management services to both municipalities and the private sector. The corporation has 92 personnel at branch locations in Carson City, Reno, Minden and Fallon.
