Two young women and a man were arrested late Wednesday night after deputies responding to a tip from a security company reportedly saw them smoking drugs in a Woodside Drive apartment.
Jonathan Cote, 29, Amy Toreson, 18, and Melissa Martinelli, 19, were booked on charges of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession. Cote was also charged with illegally possessing a prescription drug.
Police approached the apartment, in the 1200 block of Woodside Drive, at about 10:30 p.m. expecting to find somebody inside who was suspected of having an outstanding warrant, reports indicate. The reporting officer said he saw all three suspects through the window smoking on a glass pipe. He also saw suspected methamphetamine on a coffee table.
Two officers attempted entry, but the door was locked. When they knocked and identified themselves, they "heard noises like thumping and running inside the residence," the report states.
Once they rounded up the suspects, police questioned the women who said they had met Cote the week before, and that he had been making drug deals out of the apartment.
A search of the apartment revealed more suspected drugs and pipes. Toreson and Martinelli were held on $2,500 bail, while Cote was held on $7,500 bail.
