Barbara Joyce de Franchi, 76, a Minden resident for the past three months, died Nov. 14, 2000, at her home. She was born Dec. 30, 1923, in San Francisco to Frank and Zella Reed Davis.
Mrs. de Franchi received her nursing education at Bakersfield College, graduating at the top of her class in 1966.
Before moving to Minden, she lived in Grand Junction, Colo.
Mrs. de Franchi was supervisor of Central Supply at Barton Memorial Hospital at South Lake Tahoe for 14 years. She was a Christian.
Among her survivors are her son James L. of Vacaville, Calif.; daughters Barbara Adams of Gardnerville, Patricia Thompson of Minden, Kathleen Baker of Grand Junction, Colo., and Betsy Dorrance of Gardnerville; brother Donald Davis of Huntington Beach, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A private graveside inurnment will be held in Bakersfield, Calif.
