A graveside service for Dorothy Frances Hoven Hedlund, 75, a Silver Springs resident for the past 50 years, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
Mrs. Hedlund died Aug. 14, 2000 at Carson Healthcare Center. She was born Feb. 7, 1925, in Hoven, S.D., to Mathias and Mary Pichart Hoven.
Before moving to Silver Springs, she lived in Idaho and Oregon.
Mrs. Hedlund worked as a keno writer at the Cal-Neva Casino for many years. She enjoyed crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 1999.
Among her survivors are her son Daniel Cline of Jonesboro, Ark., daughter Nancy Bobb of Woodland, Calif.; brother Frank Hoven of Hoven and Clemence Hoven of Tucson, Ariz.; sisters Marie Fackelman of Tucson, Sally Busch of Mankato, Minn. and Frances Lang and Lenore Kaiser, both of Minnesota; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
