Obituary: Edward Bernard Meehan

A memorial Mass for Edward Bernard Meehan, 60, a Genoa resident for the past three years and a 19-year resident of Carson City will be at 3 p.m. Monday at St. Teresa Catholic Church.

Mr. Meehan died Oct. 26, 2000 in Kern County, California. He was born Oct. 13, 1940, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Edward and Phyllis Ausman Meehan.

He graduated from Verdugo Hills High School in Tujunga, Calif.

Mr. Meehan was a general contractor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and racing remote-control model boats.

He was a member of the Builder's Association of Western Nevada and the North American Model Boaters' Association.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Among his survivors are his sons Gregory Edward of Reno, Patrick Allen of Texas and David Aaron of Carson City; mother Phyllis of Carson City; sisters Melanie Meehan-Crossley and Tedi Meehan-Bartkoski, both of Carson City; brother Leonard A. of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and four nieces and a nephew.
