Edward Joseph Snyder, 79, of Carson City died Nov. 15, 2000, in Dayton.
He was born Dec. 4, 1920, in New York to Martin and Bella Russell Snyder. He served in the Navy during World War II and attended two years of college.
An air conditioning mechanic and a member of the Masons, Mr. Snyder had lived in Carson City for 24 years, coming from St. Petersburg, Fla.
He was preceded in death by wife Marjorie in December 1996.
Survivors include daughters Sue Roach of Carson City and Jean Lambert of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; sons Jeff and Paul of Carson City and Rodney of Eustis, Fla.; brother Len of Malta, N.Y.; sister Mary Ballee of Balston Spa., N.Y.; 14 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Cremation was by Walton's Sierra Crematory under the direction of Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
