Elmer E. Wartburg, 83, a Carson City resident for the past six years, died Sept. 25, 2000 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Aug. 5, 1917, in Denver, Colo.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in San Fernando Valley, Calif.
Mr. Wartburg was a carpenter, working in home construction. He was a Baptist.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
He was preceded in death by his wife.
Among his survivors are his daughters Dorothy Atwood of Sparks and Roxy McDonald of Granada Hills, Calif.; sister Elenore Eubanks of Eureka, Calif.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A private family service will be held.
Cremation will be at Sierra Crematory.
John Sparks Memorial Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
