A memorial service for Floyd E. Stucker, 82, a Carson City resident for the past five years, will be at 2 p.m. July 11 at Shepherd of the Mountains Church in Reno.
Mr. Stucker died July 2, 2000 at Carson Healthcare. He was born March 12, 1918, in Prosperity, Mo. to Ivan and Nellie Smith Stucker.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Fernley, moving from Las Vegas and Falls City, Neb.
Mr. Stucker retired from the Missouri-Pacific Railroad in 1979 where he was a brakeman and conductor. He also worked for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
He was a Lutheran and member of Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Floyd Fredrick.
Among his survivors are his wife Florence; son Steven of Carson City; daughter Kathleen Bennett of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran School.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
