A funeral for Henry Urso, Jr., 54, a Carson City resident for the past six years, will be at 9 a.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
Mr. Urso died Sept. 19, 2000 at his residence. He was born May 1, 1946, in Cicero, Ill., to Henry James and Pearl Punta Urso.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Arizona.
Mr. Urso was chief of security at the Carson Nugget. He was a loyal Cubs fan and he loved fishing and playing nickel slots.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 27 years, retiring as an E-9 Master Gunnery Sergeant.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Among his survivors are his wife Patricia and sons Tom and Chris, both of Carson City and son Brian of Dayton; daughters Angela Urso of Carson City and Tara Urso of Dayton; mother Pearl of Chicago, Ill.; brothers Charles of Chicago and Skip of Pompano Beach, Fla.; sisters Rosie Lococo and Georgia Otto, both of Chicago and one grandchild.
Burial will be at Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
