A cryptside service for Jay McIntosh, 82, a Stateline resident, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Chapel of the Light in Fresno, Calif.
Mr. McIntosh died July 20, 2000 at his home. He was born Aug. 18, 1917, in Missouri, to Henry and Abbie Sullivan McIntosh.
He was educated in Fresno, Calif.
Mr. McIntosh founded Mac's Bail Bonds in the 1960s. In 1977, he founded Ponderosa Insurance Co. He sold the business in 1985 and retired. Through the 1970s, he was instrumental in developing the bail bond business in Nevada and Nevada regulations governing the bail bond industry. He was a member of Reno Masonic Lodge No. 13 F&AM, the Fresno Elks Lodge, Family Motorcoach Association and National LOWs. He was also a Shriner.
He served in the Merchant Marine.
He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia in 1983.
Among his survivors are his daughter Joyce Carol McIntosh of California; sisters Alma Cox of Oakdale, Calif., and Merle Collander of Fresno, Calif., and brother Henry of Oakdale, Calif.
