A graveside service for Leona Violet Moran, 83, a Carson City resident for the past 43 years, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lone Mountain Cemetery with Pastor Fred Muster officiating.
Mrs. Moran died Sept. 2, 2000, in Carson City. She was born March 14, 1917, in Redmond, Ore., to Robert and Luella Rigley Mowbraw.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Salem, Ore.
Mrs. Moran was a cook at the Stewart Indian School. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband George in 1985 and son Dennis.
Among her survivors are her son Gary of Jordan Valley, Ore., and daughters Susan Morris, Phyllis Wallace and Lasca Moran, all of Carson City.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
