Obituary: Louella May Piper

Louella May Piper, 70, a Carson City resident for the past six years, died Oct. 23, 2000, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born May 2, 1930, in Whitehouse, Pa., to Basil and Alice Betts Savage.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Henderson.

Mrs. Piper was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three grandsons.

Among her survivors are her son Paul of Henderson; daughters Susan Burns and Brenda Caldwell, both of Carson City and Kathy Balmer of Salt Lake City, Utah; brothers Donald Savage of Kanarraville, Utah, Bill Savage of Parowan, Utah, and Leonard Savage of California; sister Jean Velarde of Florida; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services and cremation will be in Henderson.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
