A memorial service for Mary Lorraine Owen, 73, a Carson City resident for the past 25 years, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
She died Aug. 26, 2000, at Washoe Medical Center. She was born July 8, 1927, in Highland Township, Iowa, to John Junior and Beulah Storrs Foley.
She lived in Iowa and California before moving to Nevada.
Mrs. Owen retired from the State of Nevada in 1987. She loved to travel.
Among her survivors are her husband of 55 years, Clifford of Carson City; daughters Laura and Paul Merjil of Sacramento, Calif., Joyce Osborne and Cristine and Frank Maddox, all of Carson City; sisters, Beth Blazek of Mesa, Ariz. and Betty Jackson of Murray, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
