Obituary: Ray Anthony

A memorial service for Ray Anthony, 84, a Carson City resident for the past 15 years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

Mr. Anthony died Sept. 21, 2000 at his home. He was born Sept. 24, 1915, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Lester and Ethel Bell Anthony.

He married Virginia Javier on June 7, 1983 in the Philippines.

Before moving to Carson City he lived in Austin prior to moving from Las Vegas.

Mr. Anthony was a retired supervisor. He was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church.

Among his survivors are his wife Virginia "Ginnie" of Carson City; son Scott Bruce of Austin; daughters Sheryy Marie Ryan, Carolyn Ann Wilcox and Linda Darlene Crouse, all of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be at Walton's Carson Sierra Crematory.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
