1972 - Built by former Governor and former U.S. Sen. Paul Laxalt and family.

1976 - Purchased by Woody Loftin, which is the only time in its history when the property flourished.

1985 - Loftin dies and ownership passes to his son Truett Loftin.

January 1993 - Closes after Truett Loftin files bankruptcy.

February 1995 - Reopens under new owner Barry Silverton.

June 1996 - Silverton gets $5.5 million loan form Cerberus Partners.

January 1997 - Silverton defaults on loan payment.

February 1997 - Silverton files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

September 1997 - Given to Cerberus in receivership and Bob Cashell becomes general manager.

January 1998 - Cerberus acquires full ownership in foreclosure sale.

Feb. 26, 1999 - Cerberus hires Eric Nelson Auctioneering to sell the casino at auction.

May 27, 1999 - $2 million bid is rejected by Cerberus

June 11, 1999 - Minimum $4.2 million price announced

Sept. 15, 1999 - Purchased by Cubix owners Al Fiegehen and Don Lehr

Jan. 18, 2000 - $18,000 tax break approved for owners.

Jan. 30, 2000 - Remodeling plans unveiled by new owners.

Aug. 29, 2000 - Cashell says portions of casino will be closed during remodeling.

Sept. 21, 2000 - Announcement that casino will close for nine months.

Mid-November - Closes until summer 2001.
