Baseball diamond Skills Competition held at Aspen Part

The Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department will hold its 2000 Fleer Major League Baseball Diamond Skills Competition today between 10 a.m.-noon at Aspen Park. Diamond skills is intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the "fun" of baseball competition. All youth ages 7 to 14 will have a chance to compete. Participants will compete on three important aspects of baseball, batting, fielding/throwing and base running.

This is a free event. Winners of the four different age categories will be invited to compete at the sectional competition at a later date. Birth certificate is required at registration. Preregister at the Recreation Division office during regular business hours or register on-site. For information, call 782-9828.
