BLM seeks members for advisory councils

The Bureau of Land Management is seeking people interested in serving on its three Nevada Resource Advisory Councils.

Four spaces are up for appointment on the Sierra Front-Northwestern Great Basin council: representatives for transportation spot, archaeology, recreation and public-at-large. That council meets in Reno, Carson City and Winnemucca.

Those interested should contact the BLM office in Carson City.

Five positions are up in the Mojave-Southern Great Basin RAC which meets in Las Vegas and Nye, Lincoln and Esmeralda counties. BLM in Las Vegas is handling that council.

Finally, there are four positions available in the Northeastern Great Basin RAC which meets in Elko, Battle Mountain and Ely.

Those interested or who want to nominate some one should contact the BLM office in Ely.
