The Children's Museum of Northern Nevada now hosts a monthly dance the last Friday of each month, from 9 p.m. to midnight. Dance lessons are also available all Fridays from 7-8:30 p.m.
Scheduled for February is the foxtrot, Feb. 18 and 25. March is the cha cha on the 10, 17, 24, 31. April is the waltz, April 7, 14, 21, 28. May is the hustle, May 5, 12, 19, 26. No classes will be held in June, July or August. In September is the tango, Sept. 8, 15, 22, 29. October is the night club two-step, Oct. 6, 13, 20 and Nov. 3. November 17 and Dec. 1, 8 and 15 will be the rumba.
A live band provides the music for each of the monthly Friday night dances. Cost is $30 per person a month or $55 a couple per month; $8 per person a week (drop-in) or $15 per couple a week (drop-in). No partner is needed, students rotate partners.
