Landmark Homes and Development was recently awarded the Summit Award from Professional Warranty Corp.

The award was presented to Jim Bawden, president and owner of Landmark Homes, by Mark Eller, PWC Western Regional Director, during a ceremony at Landmark's headquarters in Carson City.

"The Summit Award is presented only to those companies that have demonstrated the highest level of customer satisfaction over time," said Eller, "and Landmark Homes unquestionably meets that standard. Over the past four years, Landmark has enrolled approximately 500 homes in our program with zero home buyer complaints, zero arbitrations and zero claims. This outstanding ability to satisfy homeowners is only possible with teamwork and commitment to buyer satisfaction throughout this entire company."

PWC is a 10-year insured warranty program that is provided on all Landmark homes. The PWC-insured warranty program provides the basis for the buyer-builder relationship by establishing performance standards for warranty work, if necessary, during the first two years of home ownership, and insurance for the buyer that the work will be completed to those performance standards. PWC/Zurich U.S. also assumes the builder's liability for the structure during years three through 10 of home ownership.

"The security of the insurance is the reason we are proud to be affiliated with PWC," said Bawden. "Ten years is a big promise to make, but with the security and professionalism of PWC, we know we are giving our customers the best protection in the industry. We are especially proud to be the first builder in northern Nevada to receive the Summit Award."
