-- Deputies were called to the 3500 block of East Lane at 1 a.m. on a report of a man trying to cash one of his wife's checks. Deputies determined the man was on probation and he admitted to drinking three or four beers, according to the arrest report. Terry Lang, 40, of Carson City, was arrested for investigation of felony probation and was held without bail.

-- Steven Michael Kinford, 21, of Brookings, Ore., was arrested at 8:15 a.m. at the jail on Carson City Justice Court felony warrants for burglary and possession of stolen property. He was held on $25,000 bail.

-- A 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested in Carson City Justice Court at 11 a.m. for investigation of violating a temporary restraining order and was held on $1,100 bail.

-- John Aree Gray, 34, of Carson City, was arrested by a sheriff's detective at the sheriff's office at 1:20 p.m. for investigation of felony fraudulent use of a credit card and was held on $7,500 bail.

-- Cleofas Raudales Picazo, 18, of Carson City, was arrested by a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper at Highway 50 East and Arrowhead Drive at 4 p.m. for investigation of gross misdemeanor making a false report of a traffic accident and misdemeanor following too closely, driving with a revoked license, no insurance, obstructing a public officer and operating an unsafe vehicle. He was held on $3,070 bail.

-- Matthew James Duncan, 20, of Sparks, was arrested by a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper at Carson and Spear streets at 5 p.m. for investigation of felony possession of marijuana and misdemeanor being under the influence of a controlled substance, negligent placing of burning material, possession of drug paraphernalia and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was held on $250 bail.

-- James Christopher Agnew, 34, of Carson City, was arrested at 6 p.m. on Tiger Drive for investigation of a felony probation violation and misdemeanor obstructing a peace office. He was held on $380 bail.
