Carson man arrested in back child support case

An Arizona native believed to be living as a transient in Carson City was arrested Tuesday on suspicion he owes $20,371 in child support.

Phillip David Grosskopf, 41, who is disabled, was arrested at 4:37 p.m. at Carson Self Storage. He was arrested on a Douglas County Warrant.

According to reports, Grosskopf has lived in Nevada 12 years, the last year in Carson City.

At his Douglas County arraignment Wednesday, he was ordered held on $20,371 bail, payable in cash only.
