The Educator's Closet, 1402 W. King St., is a recycling program for teachers and students in the Carson City, Douglas and Dayton school districts.
This program accepts donated items which would otherwise be thrown away by businesses or individuals. These items are then made accessible to teachers and students.
Teachers and students need office supplies, craft items, yardsticks, display boards, card stock paper, clear contact paper, pens/pencils/markers/crayons, puzzles, small toys for prize boxes, books, paper, holiday supplies and tempera paint.
The closet will close June 29 for the summer and reopen Aug. 22. During the 2000-2001 school year, it will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 1-5 p.m.
