Nearly $4,000 was raised for the Children's Miracle Network in May through the efforts of the employees of Greater Nevada Credit Union.
Employees at GNCU's 10 branches sold more than 1,900 Children's Miracle Network Miracle Balloons for $1 each last month. The credit union matched the proceeds and and was able to donate $3,885 to the charity.
The funds will be used to provide children being treated at Washoe Medical Center in Reno and Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt lake City, Utah, with the most up-to-date lifesaving equipment and care facilities available.
Since four of the GNCU branches are in eastern Nevada, funds raised through those branches are being donated to the Utah facility.
