Gov. Kenny Guinn has proclaimed April 9-15 Nevada Volunteer Recognition Week. In the proclamation, Guinn applauds citizens throughout Nevada for making volunteerism an integral part of their lives.
In concert with National Volunteer Recognition Week, Guinn's proclamation is a reminder for all employers and community leaders to remember those who selflessly volunteer their time to make Nevada a better place to live.
Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation Director Carol Jackson said that Nevada's volunteers make such a profound difference in the lives of so many people that it would be unthinkable to let the opportunity to say thank you pass us by.
