I am responding to Cliff Maclin's letter to the editor published in the May 5 edition of the Nevada Appeal regarding the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II.
Mr. Maclin states, and I quote, "Italian-Americans and German-Americans were not imprisoned because it was not practical." This statement is an out and out falsehood! The fact is that thousands of Italian-Americans and German-Americans and their families were imprisoned in various internment camps throughout Texas for the duration of the war.
History speaks for itself.
