SAN DIEGO - A 24-year-old man has been arrested for investigation of shooting to death a Riverside County woman a day before she was to graduate high school.
Jeff Louis Elias was arrested Saturday after being questioned by police about the shooting early Friday morning. Elias drove the victim, Bianca Guzman, 18, of Sun City, to the hospital where she later died.
Police believe Guzman was shot in the head during what may have been a game of Russian roulette.
Elias initially told police that Guzman was shot outside a supermarket, but there was no evidence of a shooting there. An investigation showed that the two may have been playing with a gun inside a Chula Vista home.
Guzman was to graduate from Paloma Valley High School on Saturday. She had told her parents that she was going to Disneyland on Thursday night but she and a friend drove to Chula Vista instead.
