A Carson City man was arrested early Thursday morning for suspicion of drug dealing and possession of burglary tools.
Anthony Shane Kitson, 28, who works as a laborer, was arrested after Tri-Net officers believe they saw him sell about a half ounce of methamphetamine to another man in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on Highway 50 and Stewart Street.
Tri-Net, an interagency drug task force, heard about a possible drug deal in the location of the fast food restaurant from a tipster, said a Tri-Net detective who wishes to remain anonymous.
Officers then staked out the area until Kitson reportedly drove up and made the exchange. They then asked Carson City Sheriff's Deputies to perform a traffic enforcement stop, at which time they found the drugs and a "knapsack containing a flashlight, bolt cutters, and other items commonly used in burglaries," according to the arrest report.
The Tri-Net detective also said investigating officers have had dealings with Kitson in the past.
Kitson is being held on $100,000 bail for the trafficking charge and a total of $10,000 for two other drug possession charges.
