The first group of mentor-candidates with the Western Nevada Mentor Center will attend a four-part training on consecutive Tuesday evenings in June from 6:30 - 9 p.m. in the Reynolds Center For Technology on the Western Nevada Community College campus.
To date, the center has confirmed 20 potential attendees.
These individuals are completing a required process including the following prior to attendance in the training: volunteer information survey; FBI background check; three letters of reference; Department of Motor Vehicles printout; one-on-one interviews with the center director.
The class will close at 25 mentor-candidates.
