Obitiuary: Arnold Jerome Jones

Arnold Jerome Jones, 88, a Silver Springs resident for the past 12 years, died Dec. 13, 1999, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.

A memorial will be announced at a later date at the Senior Citizens Center in Silver Springs.

Mr. Jones was born May 1, 1911, in Laurel, Mont., to John and Mary Newman Jones.

He married Leta Alice Clark Jan. 29, 1956, in Smith Valley.

Prior to living in Silver Springs, he resided in Fallon.

Mr. Jones was very devoted to the Silver Springs Senior Citizens Center.

He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Silver Springs.

Among his survivors are his wife, Leta Jones of Silver Springs; daughters, Viva Swab of White Hall, Mont., and Merna Wombolt of Laurel, Mont.; brother, Harold Jones of Billings, Mont.; five sisters, 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Cremation is under the direction of Walton's Carson Sierra Crematory.

Capitol City Cremation and Burial Society in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
