Obituary: Adele Binkley

Adele Joan Binkley, 83, a Silver Springs resident for the past 45 years, died Dec. 16, 1999, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.

A memorial will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Binkley was born Feb. 2, 1916 in South Dakota to Fred Lenschmidt and Bertha Brudahl Lenschmidt. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

She married John Binkley Oct. 16, 1948, in Reno. Prior to living in Silver Springs she resided in Fallon.

Mrs. Binkley was owner/operator of Dels Motel in Silver Springs from 1956 to 1994.

She was a longtime member of the Women's Club in Silver Springs. She was a member of the Restoration Church in Fernley.

Among her survivors are her husband, John, of Silver Springs; stepson Gary Binkley of Madera, Calif.; brothers, Larry Lenschmidt of Wisconsin, Arnie Lenschmidt of Sacramento and Freddie L. Lenschmidt of Santa Rosa, Calif.; sister, Rinah Chestnut of Clear Lake Highlands, Calif., and two grandchildren.

Cremation is under the direction of Walton's Carson Sierra Crematory.

Capitol City Cremation and Burial Society in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
