Obituary: Donald Lawrence Dehne

Donald Lawrence Dehne, 69, a Carson City resident for the past 29 years, died Nov. 27, 1999, in Carson City. He was born Nov. 1, 1930, in Grand Forks, N.D.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Ankora, Turkey.

He was educated in the United States and Germany.

Mr. Dehne served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He then pursued a second career in emergency management for the State of Nevada from 1971 through his retirement in 1990.

Among his survivors are his parents, Dr. Edward and Marguerite Dehne, his wife of 42 years, Lucy, and son, Gary, all of Carson City; son, Lance; daughter, Denise Pursel; grandchildren Grant and Denae, and brother, Sam, all of Reno; and a sister, Loni Donley of Edgewood, Md. and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the home of Carol Tierney of Carson City.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery, is in charge of arrangements.
