Harvey M. Smith, 64, a Stagecoach-Virginia City resident for the past 19 years, died Oct. 2, 1999, in San Francisco. He was born Oct. 20, 1934, in Burns, Ore., to Elva and Elsie Smith.
He married Charlotte Hochstein in 1958 in Portland, Ore.
Mr. Smith worked for the Delta Saloon and Casino while in Virginia City. He was a member of E Clampus Vitus and a lifetime member of VFW in Oregon.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1953-57 with honors.
Among his survivors are his wife, Charlotte; children, Julie Ambrosius, of Oregon, Ted Smith, of Virginia City, Penny Murrah, of Victorville, Calif., and Doyle Smith of Carson City; sisters, Fern Ritchie and Esther Woods, both of Oregon; and seven grandchildren.
No service will be held.
Cremation will be at Truckee-Tahoe Mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
