John Carlin Chilton, 10-year resident of Carson City, died Jan. 20 in Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was 81.
Mr. Chilton was born July 27, 1918, in Oklahoma to Wade and Ruth Drury Chilton.
He moved to Carson City from Hayward, Calif., and was an airline machinist. He was a member of the American Legion.
Among his survivors are his wife, Virginia Chilton of Carson City; son Steve Chilton of Zephyr Cove; and daughters Karen Chilton of Carson City and Kathy Loverin of Clear Lake, Calif.
No services are planned. Cremation will be held at the Walton's Sierra Crematory in Carson City.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City will handle the arrangements.
