Walburga I. Melzer, 82, a Minden resident for the past 20 years, died Feb. 8, 2000, at Carson Health Care. She was born Aug. 3, 1917, in Oakland, Calif., to George and Mary Konrad Gass.
Before moving to Minden, she lived in La Crescenta, Calif.
Mrs. Melzer was a homemaker. She enjoyed bowling.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Sr. in 1998 and son John Jr. in 1992.
Among her survivors are her daughter Patricia Tubbs of Glendale, Calif.; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
No service will be held.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery, is in charge of arrangements.
