Willard Hunter, 75, a Carson City resident for the past five years, died March 23, 2000, at Tahoe Pacific Hospital in Sparks. He was born Feb. 9, 1925, in Lansing, Mich., to Harold and Thelma Kump Hunter.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Reno.
Mr. Hunter was a retired Western Union operator. He loved music and was a very accomplished musician and singer.
Among his survivors are his son, Richard of Oakland, Calif.; brother Jack, of Westland, Mich.; sisters, Shirlene Penelope Decker of Klamath Falls, Ore. and Arminta Braasch of Carson City.
No service will be held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
Fitzhenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
