The nineteenth annual Pizen Switch Roundup is today at Walker River Resort near Smith Valley, with organizers saying that the roundup is a great opportunity for old-timers to renew friendships and newcomers to meet new neighbors and friends.
New this year to the roundup's schedule is a sporting clay shoot at 9 a.m. at the resort, and anyone who is interested in participating can contact Don Buchanan in advance at 775-265-2017. A picnic follows at 1 p.m. Pack your family's favorites or join in the potluck lunch by bringing a dish. Or just stop by to reminisce.
A White Elephant drawing will be held during the roundup, and Gene Castles and Les Armer will provide musical entertainment for all ages.
"Come early and enjoy a day of fun and relaxation," said organizer Angie Fulstone.
