Plaza residents mark Veterans Day proudly

I want to tell you of the memorial we had here at the Carson Plaza on Veterans Day. Our residents gathered around our flagpole, and Don Brooks, one of our residents, blew taps on his trumpet and also regaled us with a few patriotic songs accompanied by some of us singing along. It was quite a moving memorable event, and many of us who can still recall the war years were comforted by the tribute to our many, many fallen veterans. If only the occurrences of future wars could be avoided so we could erase these heartaches.
