A Carson City man pleaded guilty to domestic battery Thursday in a deal with prosecutors that dropped a more serious charge of burglary.
Michael Isaacs, 52, will spend 30 days in jail for hitting his wife. She spoke out on his behalf during the sentencing.
The conviction stems from an incident where Isaacs reportedly entered a neighbors apartment uninvited, hit his wife and dragged her outside where he continued to hit her.
In addition to the jail time, Isaacs will serve 150 days of a suspended sentence. If he does not complete court-ordered community service by the end of December, he will serve that time in jail.
